Lead Business Analyst, Wealth Management Systems (WMS)

The primary objective is the delivering detailed requirements for a Wealth Management System (WMS) implementation and Order Management System (OMS) integration project.  Identifying requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis and functional decomposition analysis. The Lead Business Analyst will solicit requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Identification, analysis, and thorough documentation of the current- and future-state business processes that require improvements as part of a large-scale system implementation
  • Design and develop requirements where assigned responsibilities may include writing basic functional specifications, participating in meetings or scrum sessions, writing story cards, or gathering and composing various on-demand documentation
  • Develop, improve and oversee the review and validation of written specifications with the subject matter experts, development team members, and other stakeholders to ensure on-time completion with all necessary signoffs
  • Provide status reports to management on an ongoing basis, stating progress and any issues that impede it

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years financial services experience
  • Wealth Management and/or Capital Markets operations front office to middle office knowledge
  • The ideal candidate would also have Order Management system (OMS) knowledge
  • Prior experience implementing large scale vendor based financial software systems –Preferred
  • Self-starter who is comfortable interacting and coordinating with numerous internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent business and technical communications and writing skills
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and manage time appropriately
  • Ability to quickly understand new concepts and adapt accordingly
